LDC appoints two new Partners to support the growth of its portfolio

LDC, the leading private equity investor, has strengthened the support it provides to its portfolio businesses with the appointment of two new Partners to its portfolio team.
Nicola Gray joins from Epiris, where she spent 12 years in investment roles, most recently as Investment Partner and a member of the Investment Committee. She previously held roles at Phoenix Equity Partners and PwC.
Chris Coulton returns to LDC, having served as Portfolio Director between 2016 and 2023. He was previously Director and Deputy Head of the Sustainable Infrastructure Portfolio at Gresham House and a Director at Deloitte.
LDC’s portfolio team works alongside the management teams of its portfolio businesses, providing them with advice and expertise to help them grow, navigate challenges and unlock new opportunities.
Nicola will be based in LDC’s London office and Chris will work in the firm’s Manchester and Nottingham offices, focusing on the Midlands and the North. They will support businesses across various sectors, both at the point of investment and throughout the duration of the investment partnership.
Together, Nicola and Chris bring a wealth of experience in investment management to the firm. Their appointments mark an important step in increasing the support we provide to our portfolio businesses to enable them to grow and thrive.”

These appointments are the latest in a series of hires LDC has made this year, including the appointments of Lucy Lagrosse and Alistair Smith in its East Midlands and East of England team, and Jade Kelsall in its North West team.
