Global Autocare (Global) is a leading provider of unique fleet solutions to large and small-scale businesses across the UK. Its services include daily rental, contract hire, fleet management, mobility solutions, maintenance and repair, movements and storage.
Backing an ambitious growth strategy
In December 2019 LDC made a minority investment in Leeds-based Global to support Founder and Managing Director Geoff Bloore and his executive management team.
LDC’s support and investment helped to accelerate Global’s national growth plans, building on its strong relationships with some of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers.
Supporting the transition to low‑carbon fleet solutions
In 2024, Global was the official vehicle supplier for the World Athletics Indoor Championships and supplied a sustainable vehicle fleet for the event that attracted more than 700 athletes and thousands of spectators to Glasgow’s Emirates Arena. This partnership enabled Global to showcase its focus on decarbonising UK vehicles by eliminating tailpipe emissions and transitioning to electric fleets for its corporate clients.
Global’s report ‘Driving for the Future’, published in 2026, highlighted how evolving customer behaviour and fleet composition are shaping Scope 3 Category 13 emissions, the steps the business is taking to accelerate low carbon mobility across the markets it serves and how rapid car fleet decarbonisation and flexible mobility solutions can support sustainable progress towards net zero.
Delivering impressive growth and strengthening market position
During the six-year partnership with LDC, Global more than doubled revenue and tripled profits, while establishing itself as a leader in sustainable fleet solutions for corporate clients.
The partnership also enabled Global to develop valuable relationships across LDC’s portfolio. The business supplies more than 600 vehicles to 17 LDC portfolio companies, both past and present, demonstrating the value of LDC’s scale and its ability to unlock value through cross-sell.
LDC exited its partnership with Global in April 2026, with the executive management team taking the business forward into its next phase of growth.
