LDC wins two awards at the West Midlands Rainmakers Awards 2026

At the West Midlands Rainmakers Awards 2026, LDC won Medium Deal of the Year for its investment in Harper James, and Out of Region Deal of the Year for its investment in Frankham Group.

The awards, held at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, celebrated the standout deals, teams, and individuals of the past 12 months.

The LDC West Midlands team was recognised with Medium Deal of the Year (£10m-£50m) for its investment in Harper James, a full-service law firm. LDC invested in Harper James last year, backing the existing management team, led by Founder and CEO Toby Harper.  LDC’s investment will help Harper James accelerate development of its proprietary technology, enable expansion of its specialist lawyer team, and add capacity to offer clients a wider range of services, including through acquisition. LDC also picked up Out of Region Deal of the Year for its 2026 investment in Frankham Group, a multidisciplinary, property and construction consultancy, which is headquartered in Sidcup and has an office in Birmingham.
