LDC, the leading private equity investor, has appointed Lucy Lagrosse as an Investment Executive to increase its support for businesses across the East Midlands and East of England.
Lucy joins LDC from Clearwater, where, as a Senior Associate, she spent over three years working on M&A transactions and private equity investments across the modelling and debt advisory teams. Prior to this, she spent four years at Deloitte.
In her new role, Lucy will work as part of LDC’s team to identify management teams across the East Midlands and East of England that are looking for the support of a private equity partner.
Her appointment follows a busy period of investment activity for LDC in the region during which it backed Coalville-based Bespoke Kitchen Foods, a leading provider of innovative vegetarian and vegan products, and Lincoln-based Eagle Eye Innovations, a specialist in drone training, operating and consulting services, and supported several bolt-ons in its portfolio. The team also completed exits totalling more than £350m. These include the exits of Nottingham-based marina operator Aquavista to Antin Infrastructure Partners, following a seven-year partnership that helped triple revenue and double the marina portfolio, and Essex-based Shaken Udder to Idilia, after a transformational four-year partnership that delivered 91% revenue growth.
David Bains, Partner and Head of LDC in the East Midlands and East of England, said: “Lucy’s experience will be greatly valuable as we continue to back businesses that are looking for their next phase of growth, and her appointment will help us to support even more management teams across the region. There’s real momentum in the East Midlands and East of England right now, and we’re excited to have her join the team.”
Lucy Lagrosse, Investment Executive at LDC, added: “LDC is known in the market for its relationship-led approach and for working as a long-term partner with management teams, which resonates with me.”
