Celebrating London's finest

Last night’s Evening Standard Business Awards provided a welcome opportunity to celebrate some of the best success stories that the Capital has to offer.

It is important for the business community to come together and recognise those accomplishments that make London such a great place to work in. And, more importantly, learn from and share their achievements to help inspire others.

While the awards boasted impressive shortlists, there can only be one winner for each accolade.

Congratulations to:

Dame Carolyn McCall, Personality of the Year

Lloyds Banking Group, Financial Services Business of the Year and Business of the Year

Aldi, Consumer Business of the Year

Crossrail, Infrastructure and Transport Project of the Year

Ballymore Group, Property Developer of the Year

Jo Malone (Jo Loves), Entrepreneur of the Year

Deliveroo, Tech Company of the Year

Allen & Overy, Corporate Citizen of the Year

BT Acquisition of EE, Deal of the Year

For SME of the Year, which we supported, a special congratulations to Nature Delivered.

Nature Delivered, which is behind Graze and its healthy snack boxes, has grown by an impressive 31% over the past year with revenues reaching £68m as it capitalises on a buoyant global snack market. The management team’s ambition has seen the company expand into the US, but also invest in new product development, including its new protein boxes and Asian broths. Thoroughly well deserved.

We witnessed a special evening. But, before the Champagne bottles have been cleared away, I expect London’s finest are already planning ahead for their future growth.

With that attitude, there’s no stopping London. Here’s to another great year.
