LDC promotes Chris Wright to lead Southern office

LDC has promoted Chris Wright to Head of LDC in the South.

Based in the firm’s Reading office, Chris will be responsible for driving investment opportunities, leading transaction activity and supporting the growth of LDC’s portfolio of companies across the region. This includes cloud communications specialist Babble, leading vendor of HR software CIPHR, and field-service logistics and technology provider ByBox.

Chris has worked at LDC since 2013, spending the first four years in the Manchester office as an Investment Director before joining the LDC South team in December 2017. Chris led LDC’s recent investment in BWML, the largest operator of inland marinas in the UK, supporting the development of the existing marina estate to continue to improve customer experience, broaden its leisure services and add new locations.

The team based in Reading, part of LDC’s 50-strong national team, will play an important role in delivering LDC’s pledge to invest £1.2bn of equity nationwide into ambitious high-growth companies over the next three years.
