Nicol leads LDC’s team in London and supports ambitious management teams looking to grow their business in and around the capital. He is also a member of LDC’s Investment Committee.
Throughout a 28-year career in private equity, Nicol has made investments and supported management teams across all sectors with a particular focus on tech-enabled business services and niche financial services. Prior to LDC, Nicol led BGF’s investment team in London and the South East.
Before joining BGF, Nicol worked for 20 years as a Partner with private equity firm, Dunedin LLP, leading the new investment team. He began his career in private equity working for five years with Bridgepoint.
Nicol is graduate of Edinburgh University and a Chartered Accountant, also spending five years post qualification working in corporate recovery.
On a more personal level, Nicol has a passion for sport and (rock) music with triathlon, rugby, skiing and fishing as favourite pastimes.
