In 2017 LDC’s Midlands team was recognised for an outstanding year at the Midlands Dealmaker Awards, with the team picking up a trio of awards including ‘Funder of the Year’ in recognition of a stellar 12 months.

Precision Micro
In 2018 LDC backed the £22.5m MBO of Precision Micro, Europe’s market-leading photo-chemical etching company, from Meggitt plc. LDC has invested £13m of equity for a significant stake in the company.

Stuart Turner
LDC backed the MBO of Stuart Turner in 2017. The business, which was founded in 1906, is now embarking on the next stage of its growth journey including accelerating its buy and build strategy and international expansion.

Blue Bay Travel
In January 2018 LDC portfolio company Blue Bay Travel announced a 71% increase in year-on-year sales. The Stoke-based online travel agency also secured a record number of bookings made in a single day, week and month.

ENSEK
Following the MBO of, ENSEK, in October 2017, the software provider to the energy sector has increased investment into new products and won new customers including a collaboration with Centrica on a new solution for SME energy suppliers.

A-Gas
In 2017 LDC exited its investment in speciality gas and chemicals business, A-Gas, to global investment firm, KKR. Between 2011 and 2016, the business completed six acquisitions, grew revenues 79% and profits (EBITDA) 103%.

In 2017 LDC completed the sale of ATCORE Group generating a money multiple return of over 3x. During the partnership LDC supported the business in new product launches, an acquisition and entry to new markets.

Forest Holidays
In December 2017, after a five-year partnership, LDC completed the sale of Forest Holidays. As part of the transaction, LDC reinvested for a minority stake, alongside the Forestry Commission, the management team and new investor.

Addo Food Group
Addo Food Group, the UK’s leading chilled savoury pastry producer, has achieved exceptional growth following an investment from LDC in April 2017. One year on, the business has announced sales have reached more than £270m.
