The business has experienced very rapid growth over the last three years as micro SMEs have taken advantage of the ongoing trend to move their software and IT solutions from on-premise to the cloud, to realise efficiency and cost savings.
Giacom is a fast-growing cloud IT and communications solutions provider.
In May 2016 LDC backed the management buyout of Giacom to enable the business to accelerate its growth through increased investment in its proprietary platform, the integration of additional cloud products and to expand its service provider network.
Giacom said it planned to consolidate its leadership position in the UK Microsoft CSP market and expand its MessageStream platform with the addition of new, complementary software products for its micro SME end-user market, as demand for cloud-based solutions expands.
In 2017 the business announced record financial results for the year 2015-16. The business achieved revenues of £6.6m in its latest financial year, up from £3.8m. Gross profit also increased by nearly a third to £3.5m, up from £2.6m the previous year and is now on track to record revenues in excess of £13m for the current financial year. The business also made its debut in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100, ranked at 69th, Giacom was recognised for its exceptional 60% growth.
