ESG Progress
With LDC’s support, Mi Hub has accelerated its plans and implemented new initiatives making significant strides and improvements across key areas of its operations.
Following our investment, the business recruited a dedicated ESG and Risk team to ensure its strategy continues to be cutting edge with Mi Hub now positioned as an industry leader, consistently striving to meet the highest standards of ESG performance.
The Group’s ‘Mi ESG Hub’ allows brand customers to explore Mi Hub’s ESG approach, objectives and how the business has been performing against these goals. The site also hosts their ESG reports which are published every August and January.
ESG achievements
Mi Hub has recently achieved several key ESG milestones:
- ISO 14064-1 Verification for its Carbon Footprint – Mi Hub became the first in the industry to achieve ISO 14064-1, delivering accurate, activity-based carbon data to support customers’ net zero goals.
- Achilles Silver: Transparent Sustainable Supply – Mi Hub achieved a score of 89 with Achilles, a clear recognition of its commitment to meeting high industry standards in ESG, health and safety, cybersecurity, and financial performance.
- Awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Silver Medal, a recognised global standard for corporate social responsibility and sustainability performance and was named in the top 15% of apparel manufacturing companies.
- Received an Carbon Disclosure Rating of an B for Climate , C for Water Security and an A- rating in its Supplier Engagement Assessment. This shows that the company has made a meaningful commitment to managing its environmental impact, providing clear and actionable data regarding its carbon footprint and climate-related policies.
- Mi Hub has developed and implemented a robust carbon reduction plan supported by a Science-Based Targets (SBT). It has exceeded its near-term SBT, cutting Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 47.3% in 2025, 5 years ahead of its 2030 carbon reduction goal.
- The Group has become a Carbon Literate Organisation Bronze with their own bespoke training being rolled out across the Group.
- Developed a Circular Bi Design approach, using recycled and reusable materials, repurposing redundant stock, partnering with charitable recycling bodies and creating designs that remove unnecessary trims as well as a Packaging Strategy, resulting in the reduction of plastic and cardboard.
