LDC took home Deal of the Year (£10m- £50m) at Insider’s Midlands Dealmakers Awards 2025 for its investment in Deltron Group (PACE Group), the Dudley-based lift maintenance and repair specialist.
The Awards, which took place last night at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, were compered by Gabby Logan and attended by more than 800 people.
LDC’s West Midlands team received glowing feedback for the transaction, which the judges called, ‘Probably one of this evening’s most transformative deals. LDC’s stake has given this Black Country elevator maintenance leader a war chest that it’s used repeatedly to make a series of bolt-on acquisitions.’
LDC invested in Deltron in July 2024, backing its existing management team, led by Directors Scott Haywood and Lukas Schlenker, to support an organic and acquisitive growth strategy.
Since then, with LDC’s support, the business has already expanded its capabilities, strengthened its market position, and emerged as one of the UK’s leading names in lift maintenance and modernisation. It has completed eight complementary acquisitions, allowing it to deepen its engineering expertise, broaden its customer offering, and scale its operations in key regional markets.
LDC was also shortlisted for Private Equity/Venture Capital Funder of the Year, Dealmaker of the Year (Chris Handy, Partner and Head of West Midlands), and Deal of the Year (£50m+) for its exit and reinvestment in Independent Governance Group (IGG).
LDC extends its congratulations to all of the companies and individuals that won awards or were shortlisted at this year’s Insider Midlands Dealmakers Awards. You can view the full list of winners here.
