LDC-backed Team17 recognised in the Sunday Times SME Export Track 100

Team17, the Yorkshire-based games developer, has been listed in the 2018 Sunday Times SME Export Track 100 for the first time, after delivering exceptional international growth.

The firm is placed 84th in the league table, which ranks Britain’s small and medium-sized businesses with the fastest-growing international sales.

Over the past two years the business has increased international sales by more than 40 percent, following the huge success of the business’ Worms franchise, which has sold over 75 million copies worldwide. It exports globally, using a digital distributor network that includes Sony, Microsoft, Apple and Google.

Team17 reported revenues of £13.5million in the last financial year, of which £11.5million were generated by overseas sales.

In September 2016, Team17 secured a £16.5million investment from LDC to fuel its expansion. The funding has enabled the business to further expand its games portfolio, develop its publication model, whilst also driving overseas growth.
