Mark Beaumont pushes boundaries to reach the last quarter of his record-breaking expedition

LDC ambassador and ultra-endurance athlete Mark Beaumont is now more than three-quarters of the way into his world-record attempt to cycle around the globe in just 80 days.

He has reached day 62 of the challenge and just travelled through the very windy Canadian province of Saskatchewen having covered more than 13,500 miles since he set off from Paris on 2nd July.

Since Mark began the mammoth journey of cycling 18,000 miles in just 80 days, one theme has become clear: constant evolution and pushing boundaries are key to success.

We recognise the combination of ambition and the support of a long-term partner is a great way to achieve incredible feats, and this rings true irrespective of the world you run in.

It is just one of the reasons we are proud to have backed Mark since day one.

To mark our continued support, LDC investment directors Pete Latham and Richard Whitwell will be travelling out to Europe in mid-September to cycle alongside Mark during the final stretch of his journey, providing some much needed morale and company on the road.

We will be helping Mark to reach his target of raising £180,000 for his chosen charity, Orkidstudio, as it works to benefit communities through innovative architecture and construction. You can help by donating towards the effort here.

Throughout Q4 2017 Mark Beaumont will bring his experience to life as the guest speaker at a series of LDC events across the UK. Please do register at should you be interested in finding out more.

Extraordinary Ambition. Keep track of this incredible challenge. Read more >
