Premium retailer Joules has become an international success story over the past 25 years. But the retail brand isn’t just expanding overseas.
Earlier this year it announced it would be opening its first store in North Wales, bringing its floral prints and trendy wellies to Abersoch.
Back in 2013, the company raised £22m from LDC, which was used to turbo-charge its growth. Between 2013 and 2015, Joules increased revenue 50pc to £116.4m and international revenues grew 198pc to £10.6m. In May 2016 Joules announced its £140m listing on London’s AIM market.
The investment and strategic support from LDC was a crucial catalyst for the firm’s success, helping the business to open more stores, boost its wholesale offering and increase e-commerce sales.
