LDC raises over £80k at their Annual National Charity Quiz

LDC hosted it’s Annual National Charity Quiz on 22nd October 2015. It took place simultaneously at seven venues across Britain (Leeds, London, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Manchester, Reading and Nottingham).

Over 150 teams fought through six rounds of questions to be crowned LDC Quiz Champions 2015! With Wragge Lawrence Graham, EY and PwC coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively (all from Birmingham’s Quiz) with RBS and Baker Tilly (from Nottingham’s regional quiz) overcoming stiff opposition from a number of other teams ranking 4th and 5th…

To enter, each team generously donated £400 which in total was over £60,000, in addition to these proceeds over £27,000 was collected from raffles and auctions that took place at each event. All monies are going LDC’s locally supported charities – London Air Ambulance, Hollybank Trust, Camp Mohawk, KidsCan, When you Wish Upon a Star, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Charlie House.

….The amount raised from this year’s quiz is £87,584. In 2014 with your support we raised a staggering £77,000 which means that our annual National Charity Quiz since its inception in 2005 has raised over £800,000 for some wonderful charities.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s event, and for those who have contributed in previous years – without your support we couldn’t have raised such a phenomenal amount…now who is in for 2016???
