LDC announced as a sponsor of the Brompton Bike World Championship Final

LDC is delighted to announce they are have come on board as the official video sponsor of the Brompton World Championship (BWC) Final.

On 1st August 2015, the Prudential Ride London Grand Prix will feature the 10th Brompton World Championship race, bringing this unique event to central London for the first time.

The Brompton World Championship was first held in Barcelona in 2005. 10 years on there are sixteen satellite events taking place across every corner of the globe including Japan, Korea, USA and Mexico.

The fastest male and female from each event automatically qualifies for the BWC Final. With over 20 countries represented, former pro cyclists and special guests involved, it promises to be a show-stopping spectacle. It will see more 575 smartly dressed riders (No lycra allowed!) on 18-inch wheeled Bromptons make a mad dash to unfold their bikes before sprinting off on two wheels to complete a world-famous circuit that starts on The Mall, takes in Horseguards Parade and Buckingham Palace before finishing back on The Mall.

Brompton Bicycles an iconic British brand and is the leading UK manufacturer of folding bikes. Brompton’s history can be traced back to 1975, when the inventor and founder, Andrew Ritchie, created prototypes of Brompton bikes from his bedroom in South Kensington, London. Each bike is hand brazed by a skilled craftsman at their London factory making every bike incredibly tough and unique.
