Ambition comes in many guises. It may be to build an international empire or become a household name. For some, ambition means disrupting a staid sector or providing a world-class service to customers. Many entrepreneurs are motivated by financial or growth targets, while others are driven to build organisations where people truly feel valued.

The individuals featured in LDC’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders series display every variety of ambition, creating a diverse and exciting group of businesses that pack a major economic punch. From building a mobile gaming business, creating a vegan snack brand, letting luxury cottages or making HR software, over the next five weeks, you’ll meet some of Britain’s most ambitious and dynamic leaders.

Meet the judges

To help us choose the UK’s Most Ambitious Business Leader, from our Top 50, we have convened a panel of judges who know exactly what it takes to be a strong leader. These include the senior figures from industry associations, CEOs and experienced business professionals and commentators.

Announced on the 9th October, this person will define the leadership qualities needed in today’s business world.

There is a fantastic prize package for the Most Ambitious Business Leader, including a strategy session with LDC experts, £25k business advertising package with The Telegraph and a mentoring session with LDC’s Corporate Ambassador Mark Beaumont.
