UP Global Sourcing was established in 1997. They are the leading general merchandising, sourcing and product development house in the Far East, with offices in Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
In July 2005 LDC invested in a £25million management buy-out of Ultimate Products (now known as UP Global Sourcing) and in June 2014 exited in a management buy-back.
During the relationship the support of LDC enabled the company to make several acquisitions including the audio brand Intempo, the housewares division of Martin Yaffe International and more recently the luggage division of Japinda Group Ltd, the owners of the Constellation brand.
Following a difficult trading period UP Global Sourcing announced, in November 2013, that optimism had returned in the retail sector. Their year on year orders had increased 15% in the three months to November thanks to strengthening UK market and growth in its North American markets.
