As electrical earthing contractors and lightning protection contractors, Omega Red's systems are critical to the rail, tram, construction, power, telecommunications and water industries.
Omega Red achieved organic sales and profit growth since LDC invested in the business in 2008; turnover increased from £13.5million to £16million in less than three years, while EBITDA has grown from £2.6million to more than £4million. LDC worked in partnership with the management team to implement a strategic plan to increase market penetration.
In 2010 LDC exited the business in a deal with South Staffordshire plc, a utility services group, which is wholly owned by Alinda Capital Partners, a European and American investor in infrastructure assets.
The financial and strategic support that we have received from LDC over the last few years has been invaluable and has helped us to accelerate organic growth within our core markets. By actively improving our customer relations management, we have strengthened our market leading position and successfully increased our customer base.Managing Director, Omega Red
