Chris is responsible for ensuring LDC continues to support the growth ambitions of businesses across the South of England. This includes identifying ambitious management teams that would benefit from private equity investment and ensuring they have the right partner to help them realise their growth strategy.
Since joining LDC in 2013, Chris has led a number of the firm’s most successful investment partnerships across multiple regions. This included leading the management buyout of Mini-Cam in 2015 and its subsequent sale to trade buyer Halma in 2017. During this partnership, Mini-Cam expanded significantly overseas and increased international sales to account for more than 42% of turnover in 2017, up from 31% in 2015.
He also played a key role in LDC’s investment in Stroma, Synexus, ChargePoint Technology and, most recently, led the management buyout of British Waterways Marinas (BWML). Chris continues to support the businesses LDC has invested in through his role as a non-executive director of Stroma and BWML.
Chris began his career at KPMG after studying economics at The University of Manchester. He then spent nine years in Rothschild’s Investment Banking team, where he advised private equity houses and PLC clients on international M&A transactions.
