Telecom Service Centres (now Webhelp) was one of the UK’s leading contact centre companies.
In 2007 LDC exited its investment in Telecom Service Centres (TSC) as part of a £40million acquisition by Indian counterpart Hero Ites (part of the Hero Group).
LDC backed the business in 2003 with a significant equity investment, providing a catalyst for a period of significant expansion.
During the partnership, the business increased its headcount from 2,000 to over 3,000 and the number of facilities from five to nine, following the opening of its 500-strong facility in Kilmarnock in early 2007. Turnover grew from £29million to over £60million.
