LDC-backed businesses bag hat-trick of BVCA awards

LDC-backed Giacom and ZyroFisher have together scooped a trio of accolades at this year’s BVCA Yorkshire & North East Management Team Awards.

ZyroFisher, the leading cycling parts and accessories distributer which was first backed by LDC in 2016, picked up both the Business Transformation Management Team and Mid-Market Management Team awards.

The judges credited ZyroFisher’s management team for successfully implementing change and driving sustainable growth.

They said: “Pace and rigour, lots of change in a short time frame, managing different cultures and competing brands in two integrated businesses, impressive cost saving synergies and organic growth, all while making an acquisition.

“These points added up to the impressive story that made the judges decide to award ZyroFisher both the Business Transformation Management Team Award and the Mid-Market Management Team Award.”

For Giacom, the specialist cloud services marketplace that has been backed by LDC since 2016, it was the firm’s growth trajectory that set it apart.

The business picked up Large Company Management Team of the Year, with the judges commenting: “The rapid growth of Giacom’s turnover and EBITDA stood out, along with Giacom’s cultural transformation and the development of the management team in the past few years.”

Both businesses will now be entered into the national BVCA awards at the Annual Gala Dinner in London on 29th November.
