LDC-backed ChargePoint Technology and Team17 have been recognised for exceptional profit growth in The Sunday Times Profit Track 100.
ChargePoint, the manufacturer and innovator of specialist high containment and sterile transfer valves, places 27th on the list. This marks the company’s debut in the league table, which ranks Britain’s privately owned companies with the fastest-growing profits over three years.
The Liverpool-based business has seen considerable growth in recent years and in its latest financial results recorded profits of £3.4m, driven by an expanding customer base and increased sales. In January 2017, ChargePoint secured a multi-million-pound investment from LDC to help drive further expansion overseas, into markets such as North America.
Team17, the market-leading games developer and publisher best known for the popular Worms franchise also picked up the ‘Ones to Recognise’ award at the annual Profit Track 100 awards dinner, after it was listed as one of the top ten set to grow rapidly in the future.
The business secured a £16.5m investment from LDC in September 2016 to help expand its existing games portfolio through a number of new releases, develop its publication model, and support its growth overseas. It is expecting profits to double to this year.
