As the final stop on our Backing Business Ambition tour, where we have shined a spotlight on some of the UK’s most inspiring firms, we are today joining forces with The Telegraph at its annual Festival of Business.
The conference brings together some of the best-known names in British business. A combination of keynote addresses, live interviews, case studies, expert panels, quick-fire talks and business masterclasses will take place throughout the day, including our very own breakout session hosted by Rebecca Burn-Callander, former enterprise editor for The Telegraph and editor-in-chief for the Backing Business Ambition tour.
She will be speaking to Joanna Jensen, founder of Child’s Farm, and two leaders from within our portfolio, Jon Wood, commercial director at Seabrook Crisps and Andy Phouli, co-founder of leading hair and beauty brand Rush, about their experiences of funding a high-growth business. LDC’s origination director Jonathan Caswell will also be on the panel to talk about supporting the growth of such businesses. If you would like to find out more, we will be kicking off the discussion at 2pm in the Upper Sugar room.
As well as hearing about their growth journeys, you will also be able to witness private equity in action at our ‘Wall of Ambition’. Stop by our stand in the King George III Hall to enjoy the crunch of a Seabrook crisp, see the latest fizz from Fever-Tree, peruse fashion brand Joules’ latest collection and get advice on that hairstyle you’ve always wanted from one of Rush’s expert consultants.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there and for those not able to attend this year, we will be sharing a round-up of key outtakes from throughout the day over the coming weeks – so watch this space.
