CMS celebrates multi-million pound contract wins

LDC-backed CMS Window Systems, the leading provider of 360-degree building envelope solutions to the commercial construction and housing sectors, has secured two new contracts worth more than £10m.

The business has been appointed to North Lanarkshire Council's window and door replacement framework, in a three-year deal worth £7m. This follows a £5m deal with East Dunbartonshire Council, which will also see CMS Window Systems replace windows and doors with poor energy performance and recycle all extracted waste.

CMS Window Systems specialises in energy-efficient products which have minimal negative impact on the environment including PVCu, aluminium and timber composite windows, doors and curtain walling systems. It employs more than 250 people across Scotland and supports clients as they procure and deliver some of the largest housing investment programmes and commercial build projects in the UK.

Andy Kerr, managing director at CMS, said: “Our appointment to the North Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire frameworks reflects both the growing demand for energy-efficient building solutions and the strength of our business proposition. We’re looking forward to partnering with the teams at both councils as we work to reduce the impact of fuel poverty for many vulnerable residents in Central Scotland.”

Colin Bennett, investment director at LDC, added: “The latest contract wins are testament to the hard work of Andy and his team, representing both the quality of the firm’s offering and its reputation as a market-leader for energy-efficient building solutions in Scotland and across the UK.

“Demand for energy-efficient products is only increasing and with a track-record for quality customer service and the business’ solid sustainability credentials, CMS is well-placed to support on similar frameworks moving forward.”

The latest contracts follow a successful start to 2017 for the business, which was earlier this year awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in recognition of its outstanding achievements in environmental, social and economic sustainable practices.
