During 2008 LDC will be supporting a number of high profile events around the UK.
“This Working Life” - The LDC Photography Award
 LDC has since 2005 sponsored the LDC Photography Award which brings together the work of emerging photography students and employees from a number of leading companies. It not only encourages student photographers to create an innovative tableau of the working world around them but seeks to find a representation of this environment from those who are already part of it. The brief asks both students and employees to focus in on the day-to-day life of selected companies in order to capture an evocative and provoking visual record of 'this working life'. LDC - Real Business Hot 100 Survey
In April 2008, the fourth LDC-Real Business HOT 100 survey will be published. This shows the line-up of the nation's fastest growing UK private companies in all sectors from property tycoons and metal traders to care homes and car dealers - the sector breadth is astonishing. In 2007's edition the combined sales of these companies was £4.5 billion with profits of more than £271million and employing over 35,000 people.
How many companies remain from last year's list? Last year the Electronic retailer Expansys was ranked Number 1 as they rocketed by an annual 391% over the previous four year period - will they be Number 1 this year?
