The relationship between business activity, community endeavours and personal development is at the heart of LDC. It is embodied in our Charter and guides our activities.
'LDC in the Community' is a unique expression of this and encompasses all of the work our teams undertake to support a number of regional and national charities. Over the past two years LDC has raised in excess of £175,000 for worthwhile causes by undertaking personal challenges, team events and organised activities.
In 2008, LDC are once again supporting three talented individuals; Guinness World Record cyclist Mark Beaumont, promising junior athlete Meghan Beesley and cricketer Luke Radford. Self discipline and determination drives their desire to succeed at the highest level and with LDC's support we hope they are able to achieve their goals.
Last year an LDC team of 12 completed the Flora London Marathon and successfully raised £80,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ("JDRF"). This year LDC have tripled the number of runners and will hopefully triple the amount raised for charity.
