Adding value through partnership

LDC is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to add value to its portfolio companies and the Partnerships Team seek to do this in two ways:

  • Firstly, our strong relationships with the Lloyds Banking Group ('LBG') means we are able to help companies identify appropriate new business opportunities; and
  • Secondly, with a diverse portfolio of over 60+ businesses in multiple industry sectors we can identify and support intra-portfolio new business opportunities.

Whilst our portfolio companies have to win new business on their merits, the Partnerships Team is able to provide a supportive gateway to the relevant parts of LBG and/or to other LDC portfolio companies. We can help our investees build relationships and establish credibility with key decision makers which will increase their chances of success.

Furthermore, the recently formed Lloyds Banking Group incorporating both HBoS and Lloyds TSB businesses has presented a significant number of additional and enlarged opportunities. LBG is now the UK's largest bank with leading market shares in retail, commercial and corporate banking.
