Nigel is responsible for managing LDC in Scotland.
Background:
Nigel graduated from Edinburgh University before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young. He worked in corporate finance before joining Bank of Scotland in 2001 as a founding member of the Integrated Finance team and rolled the product out into the UK regions. He has participated in all parts of the investment cycle, in both good and distressed situations, and believes integrity, reputation and keeping a level head are key characteristics required for a successful relationship.
In 2008 Nigel assumed responsibility for LBG's equity exposure to the property sector which consisted of a portfolio of £20bn assets across 180 Joint Ventures. Recent realisations from this portfolio include the sale of the Garden Centre Group and Mint Hotels.
Nigel joined LDC in 2011 and is now responsible for the Scottish region. His current board seats are Uberior Ventures, UEL, Delancey Advisory Committee and United House Group.
Interests:
Nigel enjoys spending time with his family (two children) and is a keen skier and mountain biker.
