In February 2008 LDC invested in the management buy-out of Omega Red Group.

Omega Red, who have been headquartered in Nottingham for 20 years, are the UK’s market leader in the design, installation and maintenance of electrical earthing and lightning protection systems. The company employs around 250 people across five sites throughout the UK and operates across a broad range of sectors including rail, power, construction, renewable energy and telecoms.

LDC has taken a minority stake in the business in support of the Company’s future growth plans. Growth is forecast on the back of forthcoming changes to the current British Standard in Lightning Protection and further acquisition opportunities.
