In January 2008 LDC financed the MBO of JCC Lighting (“JCC”), the market-leading global lighting fixtures group with an investment of just under £10million.

JCC was established in 1989 and has steadily grown into a market-leading global lighting fixtures business which designs, sources, imports, warehouses and wholesales a comprehensive range of commercial and domestic lighting. The company’s products are design-led, energy efficient and supported by high levels of service (range & delivery) and are sold primarily to the electrical wholesale channel.

UK production is based at its 60,000 sq ft West Midlands facility at Droitwich, with product also being sourced from China, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain and Taiwan. JCC maintains its overseas presence through offices in Dubai, Hong Kong and China.

JCC is a global leader in a rapidly growing marketplace, and during its next phase of development has strong opportunities to grow rapidly, both by expanding its reach into new areas of the UK and by developing sales channels beyond the UK market.
