MB Aerospace Holdings Ltd is a world class provider of supply chain management services, supporting mature and late-life platforms for some of the leading names in the aerospace industry.
Deal Information
In April 2007 LDC completed the management buy-out of MB Aerospace, a company that specialises in the design, manufacture, test and assembly of defence and commercial aerospace systems and components.
Its customers include multinationals such as Boeing, Airbus and Rolls-Royce plc.
The business has been formed from MB Aerospace and MB Faber, two of the main subsidiaries of 109 year-old generalist engineering firm Motherwell Bridge.
MB Aerospace Holdings Ltd has staff across three sites in Motherwell, Burnley and Leyland, Lancashire.
In November 2006 it became the first company in the UK to receive gold supplier status from Boeing and recently secured a $15million contract with the business.
The Boeing contract followed a £25million order to supply chain manage and manufacture a range of aftermarket aero-engine ring components for Rolls-Royce plc.
The business strategy will focus on developing support for aftermarket components, platforms in late product life and platforms requiring specialist engineering design in early phase product introduction.
