Apollo Group provides interior and exterior refurbishment services to properties in the social housing, education and healthcare sectors.
Deal Information
In April 2006 LDC invested in the management buy-out of Apollo Group Holdings subsequently exiting in August 2007 in a £410million secondary buy-out.
Apollo operates in both the public and private sectors with projects in social housing regeneration, property maintenance and the improvement and construction of new education facilities.
LDC backed the first management buyout, investing an undisclosed amount to enable the Waltham Abbey-based firm to buy out the shareholder who founded the business in 1976.
The company also set up the Apollo Charitable Trust as part of the business’ corporate social responsibility ethos that extends throughout the organisation.
Apollo’s projects range from major social housing regeneration schemes through to the delivery of fast track school improvement works and the construction of new educational facilities.
This was a fantastic investment for LDC and the business, which saw both employee numbers and turnover grow strongly.
