In 2006 LDC invested in the £37million management buy-out of ANC, and subsequently sold its shareholding to FedEx in a £120million transaction.
The transaction gave FedEx Express, an operating unit of FedEx Corp., the opportunity to directly serve the entire UK domestic market, providing a broader range of shipping options and enhanced service under the FedEx brand.
