LDC’s portfolio companies achieve stand out success in 2010 BVCA Awards

Recognition from the BVCA's Awards reflect LDC’s commitment to backing British businesses with strong management teams

Six of LDC’s portfolio companies were regional winners at the recent regional BVCA Portfolio Company Management Awards for private equity-backed British business.

Recognised for their managerial excellence, LDC’s winners included St. Tropez, British Salt, Card Factory, Quantel, MB Aerospace and Davies Group.

LDC has a clear investment philosophy which supports through the cycle investment in businesses with great management teams. This is reflected in the seven deals the firm has completed so far this year, with a total of over £150million in new equity capital committed to these businesses.
 
LDC’s invest across a broad spectrum of UK SME businesses and in a host of business sectors. Experience and expertise has in 2010 supported investment in businesses from the industrials, support & business services, to the outsourcing and TMT arenas.
 
As a relationship-based investor with a clear focus on backing top rate management teams LDC does not simply provide finance for growth companies but works to support senior management achieve long-term success.
 
In February this year, ten of LDC’s portfolio companies also appeared in the Sunday Times Buyout Track 100 featuring Britain’s fastest growing private equity-backed companies.
