Being in hospital can be a difficult, bewildering and often scary experience for anyone – but particularly children. At Birmingham Children's Hospital, they believe it should be a comfortable and relaxing experience as possible and are working hard to create the very best healing environment for their young patients. Since 2006, LDC have supported Birmingham Children's Hospital in meeting this goal and have raised over £40,000.

The donation has gone towards their Red Balloon Fundraising appeal which focuses on the hospital's re-development plans. LDC were one of the first partners of Red Balloon Fundraising, and through LDC's Annual Charity Quiz and Golf Day have raised £28,000 towards the creation of a specialist Burn Centre at their city centre site which treats almost half the UK's paediatric burns patients. Just over £15,000 was raised for their Kidney Kids Appeal, a campaign to build a brand new state-of-the-art unit for their renal patients.

The loyalty you have shown has genuinely made a positive difference to the lives of our young patients and their families."
